Pitcher Plant ‘Scarlet Belle’ (Sarracenia) – 2–3” Starter

Carnivorous | Bug-Eating | Bog-Loving Beauty

This is not a plant. It’s a trap. A beautiful one.
Sarracenia ‘Scarlet Belle’ is a stunning North American pitcher plant known for its flared red-and-white hoods and appetite for flies, gnats, and whatever else is dumb enough to land inside.

With bold coloration and upright growth, this variety brings serious visual interest and natural pest control. Plus? It thrives in outdoor bog setups or sunny indoor windowsills with a little extra humidity.

This listing is for a 2–3” rooted starter — small but deadly (if you're a bug).

Care Tips:

  • Full sun or very bright light for best coloration

  • Keep soil constantly moist (distilled or rainwater only — no tap!)

  • Use sphagnum moss or a peat/perlite mix with no fertilizer

  • Do not feed — it gets its nutrients from prey

  • Can go dormant in winter if grown outdoors (this is normal)

Plant nerd note: Carnivorous plants like Sarracenia evolved in nutrient-poor soil and developed traps to supplement with protein — aka bugs. ‘Scarlet Belle’ is a cultivated hybrid known for its striking coloration and easier care.

Shipped with care in protective packaging. Fully rooted and bug-hungry.
